Snakehips announce UK tour with ‘Gone’ featuring The Internet

After a whirlwind 2014, including the huge success of their single ‘Days With You’ ft Sinead Harnett and a collection of hype-machine topping remixes, breakthrough UK duo Snakehips are set for an even bigger 2015. Off the back of a sold out USA tour they’re excited to announce their new EP ‘Forever (Pt. II)’, out 9th March via independent record label Hoffman West, alongside a string of UK and European tour dates.

At home, and across the pond in the US, Ollie and James have been busy in the studio and the result is an impressive five track EP in the form of ‘Forever (Pt. II)’. The package demonstrates the duo’s uplifting production and killer songwriting skills, and true to form showcases a stand-out roster of featured vocalists. 2015 is kicked off with the sensual track ‘Gone‘ which features Odd Future vocalist and The Internet member Syd on vocals. The singer’s sultry vocals are drenched with soul and are matched with warped, layered beats.

London producers and DJs Oliver Lee and James Carter are the talent behind Snakehips, whose original productions, and remixes for Banks, Raury, Wild Belle, Bondax and The Weeknd, have delivered the guys into the spotlight. Described by Spin as “soulful Summer bliss” the pair’s sound is inspired by golden-era hip-hop and R&B. After mostly sharing faceless pictures and hiding behind their music the guys, who have just headed back to shore after the iconic Holy Ship festival, have promised we’ll be seeing as well as hearing much more of them this year.

With championing radio support from Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, Fearne Cotton and Scott Mills and the Guardian ensuring “We didn’t make them up. They’re actually happening“, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing big things from the talented producers.

Snakehips will be hitting the road in March with a series of shows in London, Bristol, Brighton, Manchester and Dublin.
