BROADCASTING LIVE IN LOS ANGELES JANUARY 20 – FEBRUARY 6
PITCHFORK RADIO #OFFLINE LA FEBRUARY 6 – 7
Pitchfork is excited to announce the launch of its first ever internet radio station, Pitchfork Radio. Presented by Lexus and powered by TuneIn and in partnership with Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, the station will broadcast weekdays Jan. 20 to Feb. 6, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., from Upstairs at Ace Hotel Downtown LA, which will be open to the public. Pitchfork founder Ryan Schreiber and staffers including Brandon Stosuy and Evan Minsker will contribute.
Pitchfork Radio #OFFLINE LA will cap off the Pitchfork Radio broadcast with a two-night event at The Well in LA on Feb. 6 and 7 featuring very special performances from bands and DJs still to be announced. Listeners can follow Pitchfork Radio now via TuneInbefore Pitchfork starts broadcasting live.
To help launch the entirely new 2015 Lexus NX compact luxury utility crossover, the automaker is partnering with Pitchfork to create this unique, interactive pop-up radio station. Both the Lexus NX and Pitchfork Radio heighten experiences. The NX goes beyond the utility of a typical SUV with a blend of stylish form and high function, while Pitchfork Radio elevates the traditional utility of radio. The station’s programming will feature regular Pitchfork news updates, guest DJ sets (including stints from some of LA’s finest records stores) and studio sessions with many of Pitchfork’s favorite artists.
Pitchfork was looking for a new, innovative way to share its favorite talent. With TuneIn, Pitchfork Radio and live performances will be accessible not just by the live pop-up audience, but will be broadcasted and distributed globally to TuneIn’s over 50 million listeners. Listeners can access Pitchfork Radio by downloading the free TuneIn Radio app for their mobile device or by visiting TuneIn.com.
