Following his debut electro jam “For The Birds” on Dim Mak earlier this spring and on the heels of his release “Nightmare” on Wiwek’s RIMBU imprint, Los Angeles-based producer Reid Stefan has unveiled his latest offering “Booty Alert.”
In true Stefan style, this track is unapologetically upbeat with energetic sirens, a stomping bass and catchy chopped vocals that will leave dance floor patrons twerking all night.
After years of honing his production skills on bootleg remixes, Reid Stefan made his big break with a flurry of awards and support from dance scene kingpins in 2012. That year, he took first place in Beatport’s remix contest with his version of Calvin Harris “Let’s Go” and soon after in 2013, Stefan’s first original work “Shocker” won Hardwell’s unsigned track contest. His signature style of punchy productions and cheeky sampling choices quickly positioned Stefan as a prime remix candidate amongst industry titans. Borgore commissioned Stefan to rework his club smasher “Ratchet”; Steve Aoki handed off his ubiquitous collaboration alongside Chris Lake & Tujamo ft. Kid Ink “Delirious (Boneless)” – the resulting remix racked up an impressive 1.65 million SoundCloud plays to date. In terms of live performances, Reid Stefan has supported heavy-hitters like Calvin Harris, Afrojack and Krewella, was a featured artist on Steve Aoki’s North American Neon Future Experience Tour earlier this year, and will share the stage with the label boss at his Pacha Ibiza residency this July.
