THUMP, VICE’s dance music and culture channel, is partnering with Sacramento’s premiere boutique music and culture festival, bringing one of the West Coast’s best festivals to the rest of the country

THUMP, VICE’s dance music and culture channel, is excited to announce its partnership with TBD Fest. Taking place September 18-20 in Sacramento, THUMP will bring the three-day boutique festival from Sacramento to the entire nation.

TBD Fest has been around since 2007 and has grown from a few hundred attendees to an expected attendance of nearly 30,000 this year. Headliners include Tears for Fears, Tyler the Creator, Pretty Lights and Chance the Rapper, as well as some of the best artists from indie rock, dance, hip-hop, and everything in between. Musical acts will be supported by a sea of other performers, artists and vendors that provide an opportunity for attendees to discover the culture, arts, fashion and lifestyle of the Northern California region.

“TBD Fest has continued to blur the lines in putting together stellar lineups that merge the best in indie music, hip-hop and dance. TBD proves that you can’t put youth culture in a box, and we’re all about that” says THUMP’s Publisher, Joel Fowler.

Since it’s launch in 2013, THUMP has been a vital source for dance music fans across the globe and has grown into one of the biggest dance music sites in the world. With sites in nine countries in six different languages, THUMP is excited to shine a global spotlight on one of West Coast’s best festivals.

“We are elated to partner with THUMP as the presenter of TBD Fest 2015,” said Lisa Kennedy, Director of Communications for TBD Fest. “VICE and its channels have time and again produced quality, relevant and forward-thinking content. Working with THUMP to showcase our curated, boutique music festival experience helps us tells the story of what’s hot, what’s next and what always will be.”

In addition to the full lineup, local vendors will be onsite providing festival attendees with locally grown and freshly prepared food that is an important part of Sacramento’s farm-to-fork movement. Artists at TBD Fest tap into the new and undiscovered at the Rise and Create vendor village.

“You might come for the band you love and discover a new musical act that you fall in love with immediately. You might come for the food but discover something new. Ultimately, we want you to come to TBD Fest and discover something new and walk away with an experience you will remember for a lifetime,” said Kennedy.
