CONTROL at Avalon Brings Protohype and HeRobust

On October 16th, CONTROL at Avalon is bringing out the heavy guns for a night of face-melting hip hop infused dubstep.  Protohype and Herobust will headline the night with support coming from Rebel, Rags and Indo.
Protohype began his career crafting heavy hitting hip hop beats, and soon thereafter was introduced into the world of electronic dance music.  With his background knowledge, he set out to create his own genre of dub hop- combining the bass elements of dubstep with the heavy drums of hip hop.  The youngster was quickly picked up by Datsik’s Firepower Records where he has released a number of massive hits.
The Atlanta based producer known as Herobust has risen to prominence in a short three years with his high energy hip hop inspired bass sets. Herobust’s tracks have been played by some of the top artists in the industry such as Pretty Lights, Bassnectar and Skrillex. His latest track ‘Skurt Reynolds’ has had over 500k plays on Soundcloud since its release.
Rebel also known as the “Hip Hop Electro” DJ creates dancefloor ready sets that appeal to both  hip hop heads as well as EDM crowds. Rebel meshes the lines between EDM and hip hop, catering to various types of crowds within the club world.
The LA Producer RAGS may not be known by many, but he has dipped his production skills in a number of areas, including the sound design and mixing for Roboto & Skrillex’s new animated film project, ‘Josho’.  The highly respected music blog Nest HQ recently premiered RAGS latest EP ‘Next’, featuring four original tracks.
Indo aka Travis Hatfield is a Los Angeles based producer who has been playing music since age 7. Classically trained in the piano and guitar, he has incorporated his roots into every production, setting himself apart in an overly saturated music industry. His hard work and attention to detail led him to multiple record signings with Interscope Records, Ultra Music and more.
Get ready for a night of mayhem as headliners Protohype and Herobust are sure to bring the heat for a night of headbanging dubstep and bass music.
