If you live anywhere near NYC immediately clear your schedule or any previous plans you had for Halloween because on October 31st we will be invading Pier 94 (RPM Presents). Let’s start with the headliner for the night who is none other than Skrillex. I happen to have seen him go b2b with JAUZ on Oct 16 at Webster Hall (Full Review) and he is back to old ways while in the midst of innovating his music with new techniques. Still throwing in deep house along with trap, but if you’ve missed the old dubstep Skrillex and want to relive 2012 again purchase your ticket now. If that isn’t enough of an incentive a fairly new, mysterious, on the rise artist named marshmello who I quote, “I just want to make good music…that doesn’t require you knowing who I am,” is on the line-up as well. Describing his/her/or even their music in words cannot do it justice or really give you a good feel for what he/she/they create but you’re in for a night of “deep fluffy hybrid melodic sexy trap house” when marshmello takes the stage. Maybe the mystery will be uncovered on Halloween night but you’ll only find out if you attend.

Pier of Fear 10/31

Up next we have New Jersey native Dj Sliink who will be bringing us the jersey club, trap and hip-hop side of things. With an onslaught of originals, remixes and collabs head on over to his soundcloud to check out his music. marshmello isn’t the only one on this line-up without a publicly revealed identity, being compared to M.I.A. and Missy Elliot coming to you with that underground rap Leikeli47 is a female rapper from Brooklyn, NYC. Very little is known about her, she has not revealed her name or even her face but after listening to her Soundcloud I can imagine it will be one hyped up set. For all you rap lovers out there I am sure you’ve heard this 26 year-old Producer/Artists name before. Jahlil Beats will also be playing a set on the 31st. Although he is most well known for his Billboard charting hit record, “Hot Boy” featuring Bobby Schmurda he has produced for artists such as Lil’ Wayne, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, Rihanna and Meek Mill. Last but certainly not least Branden and Jared make up the duo Vindata who are onto something special. They recently released an EP 2 months ago and you will not be disappointed after giving it a listen. Overall this night is going to be filled with so many feels, regardless of your musical pallet I am sure you will be impressed and enjoy your night at Pier 94 so with that being said come hang with TrapStyle and let’s celebrate to the fullest extent! See you guys there. Bless.
