Electric Daisy Carnival – Bassnectar, Kaskade, & Slander x NGHTMRE Lit Up The Electric Sky

Electric Daisy Carnival took over Orlando by storm this past weekend, attracting an army of ravers and music lovers from across the state of Florida and beyond. As day one began, Ferry Corsten rocked the NEON GARDEN, an epic stage designed with a built-in giant Buddha statue setting high expectations for the festival experience ahead. As the sun began to set over Tinker Field, Eric Prydz, easily one of the most legendary artists on the bill for Friday night, blessed the crowd at the kineticFIELD with an eclectic mix of dark techno and standard progressive house.

The second day of the event continued to deliver stellar performances from the stacked artist lineup. It’s no secret that LA-duo, Slander, knows how to rock the party and throw down an monstrous DJ set, well Saturday night at Electric Daisy Carnival was no different, Slander clearly stole the show on the second night of EDC Orlando, especially towards the end of their set, when they brought out their special guest, NGHTMRE! The reaction from the crowd was explosive. Together, they had one of the most innovative, eclectic DJ sets performed at the festival. The experience and chemistry from Slander x NGHTMRE could be felt as waves of positive energy which rippled throughout the entire crowd during their groundbreaking performance in the CIRCUIT GROUNDS tent.

Later on, an army of bass heads migrated to the stage for Bassnectar‘s performance, which flipped the script and left everyone in a spiritual haze with his heavy bass and visuals, leaving the crowd breathless but their souls satisfied.

Finally, towards the end of the night on the very last day of the festival, Kaskade took over the main stage. This set was very special to him because he started in Orlando in the early 2000’s, and now he is back so many years later with 40,000 people to perform for. Kaskade played some old, some new, overall incredible set that touched the hearts of everyone in attendance. All in all, Insomniac pulled off, yet another, successful year in Orlando for Electric Daisy Carnival, a place where creativity, passion, and community are celebrated under the electric sky.
