Insomniac Raises Over $119,000 for 2nd Annual EDC Week Charity Auction

Insomniac’s CEO and Founder, Pasquale Rotella, revealed that the second annual “EDC Week Charity Auction” raised an incredible $119,941.49 for The Shade Tree during a special check presentation at the EDMbiz Conference and Expo, inside Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. After the success of the first-ever EDC Week Charity Auction in 2015, raising approximately $70,000 for Culture Shock Las Vegas, this year’s 16-day online auction, which ran Wednesday, April 27 through Thursday, May 12, attracted dance music fans from across the country to eBay For Charity for their chance to bid on once-in-a-lifetime Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) experiences.

Insomniac offered more than 60 incredible auction items for bidders around the world, partnering with more than a dozen Las Vegas businesses, including Maverick Helicopters, Blue Man Group, Vegas Indoor Skydiving, Five50 at ARIA, Circus Circus, MGM Resorts International, TAO Group, Caesars Entertainment, Hakkasan Group, Fremont Street Experience, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Star Waggons Studio Rentals, Studio at The Palms and Palms Casino and many more.

Throughout the auction, fans from around the world helped to raise funds by participating in bidding wars for the auction’s over-the-top experiences, such as entry into every Insomniac festival for an entire year, hanging out with Pasquale Rotella in his cabana, dropping the first track at EDC Las Vegas, weekend access to the EDC artist area, a private backstage trailer in the artist area and the chance to propose on stage during the festival. In addition, Insomniac teamed up with some of the world’s top dance music artists to offer Headliners unbelievable experiences.
