ECHOS + SEVEN LIONS share “Cold Skin”

Live electronic duo ECHOS in collaboration with prestigious dance producer Seven Lions releases melodic single “Cold Skin”

Out now on Monstercat

Hot off the back of their Self-titled EP via Seeking Blue Records, Portland-based electronic duo ECHOS collaborate with prestigious dance producer Seven Lions to release a new single titled “Cold Skin” out now via Monstercat. Seven Lions has garnered the attention of some of the world’s most prolific and well-respected artists such as Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk, Skrillex, and Ellie Goulding whilst ECHOS have worked with the likes of Illenium and Crywolf and garnered previous support from the likes of Mr Suicide Sheep, Indie Shuffle, Earmilk, Nest HQ, The Waxhole, Impose amongst others. Reaching over 20 million views on Youtube is a significant achievement for the young duo but just the beginning of ECHOS exciting future.

“Cold Skin” blends a cacophony of spellbinding sounds, taking listeners on an adventure through cerebral time and space. The captivating and emotive track is guided by entrancing female vocals from Lexi of ECHOS, who sings over celestial piano chords and gravity-defying melodies. Continuing Seven Lions’ tradition of transcending musical boundaries and creating thematic artistic works, “Cold Skin” is a hybridized masterpiece that encompasses the soaring vibe of trance with the the peacefulness of acoustic indie rock.

“I want to do something different,” says California native Seven Lions. “Everything doesn’t have to fit into just one genre. I want people to walk away loving different kinds of music and sounds.”

Sharing the restless romanticism and emotional depth of Tycho and Florence and the Machine, ECHOS draw on a diverse range of influences including Susie Suh, Robot Koch, Illenium as well as Daughter. ECHOS show exceptional lyrical and melodic mastery led by Lexi’s upfront, stirring and sultry vocals, brimming with intelligence and humanity. Lexi manages to tell a compelling story with such invention, melody and emotion all the while melancholic whilst soaring at the same time.

“Cold Skin” is accompanied by a series of tour dates for ECHOS who will be hitting several major American cities with their debut live performances in November and December including the duo’s most anticipated show to date at The Roxy in Los Angeles and their debut festival performance on the Main Stage of the SnowGlobe Festival in Lake Tahoe where the duo will be playing alongside Flume, Odesza, Major Lazer and Rufus Du Sol.
