Trance Legend Robert Miles Has Passed Away

A statement was released just earlier on Roberto’s radio show, Openlab saying ‘Robert passed away peacefully last night after a courageous battle with stage 4 metastatic cancer over the last 9 months’.

Today is a very sad day for Electronic music and more specifically the trance community. Robert Concina, better known as Robert Miles has passed away. The details on his death are very limited as this time, all we know is he has died from a disease he has been battling, he was 47 years old.

Robert Miles released his first single in 1995 called “Children”, this song would go on to be one of the most influential Trance songs and a worldwide hit that many of us have heard at least once placing number 1 on numerous charts and getting platinum in 5 different countries.

A statement was released by one of his colleagues, Joe T Vannelli saying “The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset. With him also it is a part of my life as an artist manufacturer. I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgements but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled.” (Taken from DJ Mag Italia)
