The two have previously appeared together on the Josh Pan track ‘Killshots’ which dominated the beats scene roughly a year ago and was a staple for dance floor mosh pits at clubs and events.
With a heartbeat pulsing kick drum and the washed out, ethereal vocals from “Explore”, ‘What I Need’ takes you on a sonic roller coaster of ‘vibez‘. The synths start off gently, leading your hand through a funky R&B’ filled verse before taking you on a leap of faith down the first drop, as the bass riffs drive you down the slopes of sonic love.
The energy then starts tensely building into the second frantic and energetic drop, bringing with it the thumping drums your heart has been craving.
You think you’ve made it to the peak before you’re hit again with another flip, this time in the form of a vast, spacey halftime break and a sudden outro.
You then exit the ride and pay $5 for the cardboard-framed photo of your face pulling the most ridiculous expression known to man as a memento of your experience.
