ODESZA has not left us in the dust with only their two recently acclaimed singles. On the tail of ‘Line of Sight’ and ‘Late Night’ the duo has officially announced their forthcoming album, A Moment Apart. The reveal came with the release of two additional singles, ‘Meridian’ and ‘Corners of the Earth.’
If that isn’t enough to get you excited for the fall, ODESZA also unveiled a supporting tour. The A Moment Apart Tour will begin at Bumbershoot 2017 in Seattle on September 3rd and end in Brooklyn, NY on December 15th. Despite starting and finishing in the United States, the tour will be worldwide and make stops throughout Europe and Australia.
The two latest singles from the album hint at a very strong release. Remnants of their previous LP In Return are heard more than on ‘Line of Sight’ and ‘Late Night.’ ‘Meridian’ and ‘Corners of the Earth’ incorporate ODESZA’s familiar tribal electronic sounds while forging a path to the album with fresh ideas. Fans of tracks like ‘Say My Name’ and ‘Memories That You Call’ will be comfortable with the pace and feelings of ‘Meridian.’ ‘Corners of the Earth’ builds its first half up with more ambient sounds and shines through its second half with slow and calm but powerful rhythms and melodies. It also features smooth vocals from Australian singer RY X. Overall, there’s a lot to look forward to in ODESZA’s latest album.
A Moment Apart is set to be released on September 8th, and is available to pre-order on iTunes now. Listen to the currently available singles from the album below:
