Nonsens have made remarkable moves in the last year. From working on productions for the likes of RL Grime and Major Lazer to releasing collaborations with Barely Alive, Holly, and Nitti Gritti (as well as teasing an unreleased collaboration with Skrillex), the Danish trio have left a powerful impression that is sure to take their career to greater heights in 2018. But before the year comes to a close, Nonsens have one more collaboration to share where they team up with The Palliative on Sony’s disco:wax imprint.
In releasing their latest tune “Wildfire”, Nonsens take a step away from the heavy-hitting, bass-laced tunes that have become their signature. Rather, the three enlist the soothing vocal prowess of The Palliative (who they worked with previously on “Miracle”) and switch-up their productions to create a future bass/pop anthem. Singing about falling in love with a unique and unspecified individual, The Palliative’s voice takes center stage for a grand chunk of this track. As the chorus reaches the end, Nonsens break-out the vocal-chops that invoke the kind of passion that energizes festival crowds and club junkies alike. In short, “Wildfire” is the kind of track you will hear to close any set that the Danish trio plays in 2018 (or at least until they make another EDM anthem).
