Once Upon A Time, Twas The NGHTMRE Before Xmas

On one windy and dark night, a presence was felt in San Francisco. Concert-goers were dressed and ready to witness what would be the NGHTMRE Before Xmas.

Putting together a lineup consisting of Valentino Khan, Ephwurd, Yehme2, and Spock; this night could not have been prepared any better. Invading the iconic Bill Graham Auditorium, fans did not know what was about to appear before their eyes.

As the people rolled in, they were immediately greeted by a face full of bass as Spock warmed the crowd up in a tasteful fashion. The young Buygore alumni made his debut as bassheads crowded the floor to show their respects for what has been an incredible year for the Fresno native. Following that firestarter of a performance, came along Josh Young. After his legendary run with Flosstradamus, the Chicago native looked to move on with his solo venture Yehme2. Boasting incredible music on all social media platforms, the recognition for this legend was uncanny. His presence was surely felt as he seamlessly pleased the Bay Area crowd.

As the show continued, the venue began to pack as the crowd was about to be blessed by the sounds of Ephwurd. Hot off their new release ‘Function, the duo headed full steam to absolutely blow everyone’s minds. Showcasing a playful display of visuals, the music that complemented truly lifted everyone’s spirits up to finish their nights off with performances from the headliners.

The time had come for Valentino Khan to return to what feels like home ground for him. The fan reception could not have been received any better as the fan favorite went on stage to bring the party.  Bringing in flavor from all genres, the audience was in awe of the performance put on by the legend with the handlebar mustache.

The moment had finally come, the cliche moment the entire auditorium was waiting for. As attendees stood in anticipation for NGHTMRE to go on, they got together to present a tribute to Lil Peep. The young rapper was slated to perform until tragic news of his passing away made headlines. The world had lost another gifted musician, and respect would be given for talent that would never walk on this earth again.

As the noise grew to silence, it was up to Tyler Marenyi to take the event to newer heights. With such flare and energy, the headliner did just that. Having spoken to him minutes before his set, he mentioned his excitement for playing in this venue for the first time. I told him as soon as he sees that crowd, he’s going to understand just how important this night is. Like a true rockstar, he put on a show that many will never forget. Heading home from the event, the vibes outside of the venue were truly special. Many left with great memories of the NGHTMRE Before Xmas.
