MurDa and Oolacile Decimate Phiso’s “Wasteland”

Three names to rule them all: MurDa, Oolacile, and Phiso. As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of all things heavy in bass music, I’ve watched each of these individuals since their earlist SoundCloud uploads and rinsed quite a few of their tunes at my own local shows. Now I have the pleasure of sharing a new piece of finely-crafted and fuel-injected music to obliterate your ear holes.

Phiso’s original “Wasteland” was an anthem for wobble-heavy shows across the country over the last year. Though it was released in 2015 with a VIP releasing just two months ago furthering the tune’s reach, it took people a second to catch on to Phiso but they did thanks to “Jotaro” (also released almost two years before the masses started taking notice). From little riddim shows to massive three-day festivals, you would hear the horns building and know the bass was coming. Now we bring you the next evolution of “Wasteland”.

MurDa and Oolacile (both sound design masters in their own rights) have graced the dubstep community with a new cornerstone piece. Remixing “Wasteland” has given us an example of how an already ridiculous tune can have new life breathed into it’s core. From the intro sound design and war drums, to the thick bass patches that rip through the speakers, this remix is kicking ass and taking names. Using a barrage of yoys, machine guns, growls, and pitched synths, MurDa and Oolacile furiously paint a battle ridden wasteland. The banger alert won’t stop ringing since I was sent this track so be on the lookout at your next dub show and get ready to headbang.
