This is written for a producer who wants to go mainstream, and is questioning where to put focus. This article by no means diminishes the role of engineering in making good music. It’s massively important for songs to sound great. However, engineering tracks yourself should only be a focus after more »

Finally, it is Kanye West vs  deadmau5. The two A-rank musicians are getting ready to face each other off on a Twitter war of epic proportions. Vomittrapping with Teddy Marquee’s ‘Witch Hunt’ [Free download]

Self identified as future trap, Witch Hunt combines Alvin Risk-esque lasers and vomitstep growls to create a visceral soundscape. The arrangement of the tune allows for a good set opener or pivot track, building tension over a longer period of time. Best of all, the track is completely free, no following, sharing, or social media actions required. Take a peep. Follow Teddy Marquee on SoundCloud

The soundscape includes rhythmic hip hop vocals from OJ Da Juiceman, with eastern instruments and fat trap horns. Perhaps “Rap Don’t Work” is another indicator that festival trap is here to stay.
