Malaa Drops Hot New Mixtape Via Confession

Hot off of the heels of a notable performance at Ultra Music Festival this year, ski-mask clad house producer Malaa released his Illegal Mixtape via Tchami‘s imprint, Confession. Illegal mixtape is a dark, gritty, and eclectically curated house music playlist featuring songs from Malaa, Dillon Nathaniel, Maximono, and a multitude of other artists. Awoltalk Delivers Golden Remix of “Gold” by Max Styler

Like many great Future Bass songs, Gold by Max Styler blurs the line between Future and Trap. With help from producer Devault, the reminiscence of the 808 bass and drum patterns add a hardness to the euphoric theme provided by vocals from Luciana. It gives a powerful Future Bass experience while also whetting one’s appetite for Trap. As if to answer this call, Awoltalk delivers the full heavy Trap rendition of this work with his new remix. This track makes it known from the start that this is a change of tone from the original. You are well prepared when the more »

Legendary DJ/Producer duo Boombox Cartel has returned with a highly anticipated pack of new tunes. Their Cartel EP comes after the release of two blazing hot singles “Jefe” and “Alamo”, which are the featured singles from this 5 track record. Earlier this year the duo gave fans a bit of jolt when they blacked out of social media for about 10 days and lead us to believe that the had thrown in the towel. This brief radio silence turned out to be a very minimal rebrand that has had Boombox Cartel fans hungry for more uniquely heavy bass from this dynamic duo. more »

Free Download: Matroda x Travis Scott – Goosebumps (VIP Edit)

Honestly, I’ve been getting a little sick of hearing Travis Scott’s smash hit in every other mix I’ve listened to in the past month. Bass house aficionado ‘Matroda‘ changed that with the VIP he released this week. Implementing a perfect blend of G House and Bass House, The producer gives the original track a healthy portion of reverb and added percussion to get the rhythm going.  The artist makes it know that the expertly crafted plucks of the drop and tight drums are the definition of his secret sauce. Stream The Track Here: Follow MATRODA on social media Facebook  | more »

Spotify For Artists Just Got A Huge Upgrade

Today is a big step in the movement forward for Spotify. If you weren’t already aware in the past, Spotify required 250 followers to get an artist verified. This made it very difficult for artists to start using the platform to it’s fullest extent as you couldn’t access your profile without being verified. The new update from Spotify allows any artists to submit their profiles for review to get verified. Click here (https://artists.spotify.com) for more info

Nerdology – Pretty Fly For A White Samurai (TSAU004)

Imagine for a moment if you will, that Dutch violinist and conductor Andre Rieu was a selectable character in Mortal Kombat. Seems a bit far fetched but Donald Trump is now President of the United States and Pitbull is still making sales, so anything is possible. Now, if Andre Rieu were to go toe to toe with robot cyborg Cyax, you could probably drop “Pretty Fly For A White Samurai” by Nerdology as the theme song and be pretty confident that Shang Tsung would let you keep your spine based on track selection alone. It’s a fitting song for a more »

Ever since footage emerged in February of Marshmello playing Ray Volpe‘s remix of ‘Ritual’, dance music fans have been anticipating its release. Fast forward two months later, and it’s finally here via OWSLA in all of its nasty glory. The upcoming bass producer takes the original song and flawlessly recontextualizes it, turning it from a carefree summer anthem into an obscenely heavy club banger. Desert Hearts: Home To All Wanderers Alike

There’s something magical about walking into the middle of a indian reservation, specifically, the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, where people are wearing fur coats and rainbow like sequins with leather gear in abundance. Why you might ask? Well, it is Desert Hearts after all and it wouldn’t be a Desert with temperatures hitting high 70’s during the day and high 30’s at night. With pulsing Techno beats for 100 hours straight, you don’t really know what you are getting yourself into until you are there embracing the mantra that is House, Techno, and love. NuKid Remixes Kai Wachi Into A Bassline Bomb

What do you get when you add the insane sound design of veteran trap producer Kai Wachi and the raw, unadulterated swagger of G-house up-and-comer Nukid? Fire emojis. Lots of them. A glitchy arp and foreboding chords stay true to the dark nature of the original, creating tension befitting the songs ominous title. Then, in classic NuKid style, a fat bassline comes crashing in to move your body from head to toe, interspersed with some of the dirtiest wubs and womps I’ve heard in a while. I found a new favorite today with this one. Follow NuKid on Social Media Facebook more »

Beyond Wonderland 2017 – A ten year retrospective

As I made my entrance into the enchanted wonderland I couldn’t help but realize that I’ve been doing this for exactly ten years. Although the inaugural Beyond Wonderland was held at NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA on March 20 2010, I have been following Insomniac’s Events since 2007. The precursor to Beyond Wonderland was “How Sweet It Is”, which used to take place at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA. It’s honestly heartwarming to see an underground production company evolve into the beautiful paradise that it is today. While the sounds, people, and fashion have changed, the more »
