Baytek

Baytek drops feel good future bass anthem ‘Anchor’ ft Cyrus

Baytek has become a name to watch in Australian bass music over the last few years. We first heard him way back in 2014 with Taking Over Me, which made quite a lot of traction copping remixes from Wongo, Francis Xavier, Lolo BX, Pantheon & Colour Castle. Since then, Baytek has continued to deliver, dropping remix after remix on his Soundcloud over the last few years, never straying too far from the hard hitting house vibes. The release of his RISE EP late last year garnered a solid amount of support, with the first track, Deadbeat, copping an exclusive premiere from the big guns at NEST HQ. For more »

WATCH: SNOE Releases Music Video for ‘New Generation’

SNOE, a bedroom hip-hop artist from France, has just released a music video for his new single ‘New Generation.’ But who really is SNOE? According to his general manager, he’s a young rapper who tries to create a universe you don’t see all the time in hip-hop. He released his first project when he was fourteen years old, and much of his inspiration and motivation comes from spending time living in New York City. Stylistically, his music is part of a growing niche in France where many of the rappers are increasingly influenced by the conventions of hip-hop/trap artists from more »

Paperwings Drops Firecracker Remix Of Slander’s “Superhuman” [Free Download]

After the successful release of two huge remixes that gained over 230k plays, Paperwings returns with yet another massive flip. The L.A. based duo comprised of members Derek & Adam are building quite the name for them self as the steamroll across blog headlines. Their melodic sound falls into the same realm of Illenium, Seven Lions, & Mr. Suicide Sheep allowing them to really stand out as they capitalize on their very current sound.  They’re remix of “Superhuman” is beautiful composition that allows the original vocals to shine and simultaneously allowing the Paperwings sound to lead the way. The remix which more »

Chime

6 Artists That Inspire Chime To Make Badass Bass Music

Chime is an artist revolutionizing bass music in a way that creates a melodic side of heavy bass unlike most artist who choose one side or the other. In conjunction with Point Blank Music School, Chime sat down to tell us where he gets the inspiration for his creative sound. Xilent Xilent’s “Choose Me II” opened my eyes (and I guess ears) to the fact that melodic dubstep could even work. This track introduced me to supersaws and how a dubstep track can be powerful even without traditional dubstep bass sounds. Since then Xilent has been a close influence on more »

Over the past few weeks, Rezz has been building up hype for her album in different ways. We heard much of the album released as singles, as well as the announcement of a tour. News of the album came unexpectedly only a month before its release. It was titled Mass Manipulation and is relatively short for an LP at eight tracks. The first four songs on it followed a one-per-week release pattern during the month of July on each Friday. Now, the hype built has reached its peak and the album is finally here in full. One lingering fear about more »

Adventure Club has announced a short tour stopping along some of the major cities on the east coast of the United States. The duo released a remix of ‘Undercover’ by Kehlani a couple weeks back. Boogie T. Crushes “Bass Invaders”

Last Friday Trinium Event‘s “Bass Invaders” hosted a stacked lineup including Boogie T, Shiverz B2B Obey, and Al Ross at the Candela Night Club in Niles, IL. I can easily say that it was one of the best riddim shows that I’ve been to in months. I showed up a few minutes after doors opened at 9 o’clock, and the line was already so long I didn’t get inside until 9:30. I was really looking forward to seeing The Riddim Boyz because they totally stole the show when they opened for Megalodon‘s Jurassic Tour in May. Thankfully I caught the end more »

‘What You Know’ about Troyboi’s new single?

UK trap lord Troyboi has just released a new single titled “What You Know“. An established artist in the bass scene, Troyboi has helped push trap music forward throughout the years with his unique style, but this track feels pretty left-field, even for him! The first thing I noticed about this track was the ridiculously loud saw-wave synths that attacked me with murderous intent, and the lack of an overpowering 808 bassline that we’ve come to love and expect from all things trap. Troyboi is no stranger to wild and aggressive synth stabs, but usually these are relegated to a more »
