The Colorado bass musician has been rising through the scene with this unique brand of far out and pure music. With a strong focus on using organic instruments in his tracks, SoDown creates insanely funky tunes. Sacred Sciences “The End” [Free Download]

Cartoons and Dubstep. Do I really need to say more? Sacred Sciences recently gave out a free, sweet treat to please headbangers and sample fanatics alike. Entitled “The End”, the track has a dark and brooding vibe with some demented vocal samples from the ominous Lich character in Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time. From the war horns in the intro to the heavy, screaming synth work at the almighty bass drop, “The End” is a solid dubstep banger that I would gladly rinse out in sets. Cartoon aficionados and bass enthusiast ought to get quite the kick from Sacred Science’s “The more »

This New Flip From Convex IS Future Bass

Los Angeles based artist Zach Morgan aka Convex suddenly dropped a ‘flip’ of Kap Slap & Gazzo’s house track ‘Rewind’ on the 16th. This flip reminds me of all the fun days I’d have with friends playing nintendo games like Pokemon and Super Mario on my Nintendo SP with it’s happy arp filled drop. He expertly created a surrounding for the main character of his masterpiece, the vocals. Jumping from chord to chord and bouncing with the kick, it’s incredibly hard not to feel nostalgic and in a trance when listening to this amazing example of what Future Bass Music can more »

Once I bought a SubPac music was never the same again

Imagine being immersed in a world of sound. Your own personal party, anywhere you want, any time, at the click of a button. I was in the market for a new subwoofer but my only set back was the fact that I have roommates. Producing music late at night would wake them up, so I scoured the internet to find the perfect solution. After searching YouTube, Google, and Guitar Center I found my answer in the least likely of places. A friend of mine at Icon Collective told me about The SubPac. He described it as a backpack with a subwoofer. I more »

Ghastly Dives Deep into His Production Bag to Unveil ‘Lil Trick’

Stream “Lil Trick” on SoundCloud   L.A based producer Ghastly is doing his part to celebrate Throwback Thursdays this week by releasing a one year old gem – ‘Lil Trick’ – to his fans for free. Production that is a year old and unreleased generally doesn’t get released for a reason – it rarely stands the test of time. In this case, the exact opposite is true with ‘Lil Trick’, as the bouncy bit of bass music perfectly encapsulates the progressive thinking of not only Ghastly’s songwriting, but his prophetic ability to produce bass house before the sub-genre was even more »
