Philadelphia based rising artist Magna is on the move. He is headed to the top of the game after the releases of his Tombs EP which is filled with original sounds and vibes. Released via Philadelphia’s own SUPERDEAD collective, this EP features a variety of sounds that is influenced by the early 1990s rave culture which brings a refreshing yet nostalgic feel to this unique record. The 4 tracks that make up Tombs still have the modern flash and pop of current dance music sounds just without the cliche build ups and over used, predictable formats. Feed Me has released his first full-length EP on mau5trap since Feed Me’s Escape from Electric Mountain. His last few EPs were released on Sotto Voce Records, but his newest was completed while on tour with deadmau5, hence the logical release on his label. The new EP is titled Feed Me’s Existential Crisis, and it may not be as long as his last one but makes up for that in content. Another track fresh off the press here at Trapstyle Australia, and this one comes from 24-year-old Perth guru Richard Tielemans, better known as CHOMPA. Now this certainly isn’t Richard’s first rodeo. Appropriately releasing the song on Kannibalen Records, the Texas native shows off his expertise in production. Control San Francisco continues to lead the weekly nightlife in the Bay Area due to it’s consistent haul of amazing lineups and shows. The Hyper Future Tour is plotting domination in North America, and with this heavily curated lineup it seems as if they will do so without struggle. Bass heads nationwide are in for a treat as Eptic, Must Die, and Gentlemen’s Club invade their cities only looking to wreak havoc. Oshi and Sober Rob are two incredibly talented artists. Oshi’s style of hip hop instrumentals under playful melodies and Rob’s similar style with a slightly heavier and more distinctly Future Bass sound to it came together once before in a track called ‘Lost‘. ‘Lost’ has a hard hitting drum line, but it plays under a very light medley of synths. It really is quite a relaxing track, a good one to listen to while you’re just chilling. Point.Blank has done it yet again! Coming from the boys created an amazing five track ep that inquires their own unique style. Point.Blank is pioneering   their own style of dubstep that is Hip-hop based intro, and then leading to a grueling drop that makes you want to “Womp”. Legendary DJ/Producer duo Boombox Cartel has returned with a highly anticipated pack of new tunes. Their Cartel EP comes after the release of two blazing hot singles “Jefe” and “Alamo”, which are the featured singles from this 5 track record. It seems that when HEKLER and WHIPPED CREAM made the decision to come together and give us their Mirrors EP, they temporarily forgot what genres were. And we are so much the better for that.
