SwaggleRock x Holly – Lemme In [Premiere]

Bass music is the epitome of my soul. From the anquish of erratic frequencies to deep sub vibes of heavy 808s, I thrive on original and creative tracks. We recently got our hands on a banger of a hybrid tune, coming from SwaggleRock and Holly, two insanely talented bass producers. Both of these artists are highly skilled in an array of musical genres and having them collab on a tune is down right insanity. Their newest work of art, “Lemme In”, is a hybrid-bass, demonized ride through the darkness of sound. Starting off with a foreboding beat and paired with more »

Kennedy Jones Takes Calvin Harris Up A Notch

There’s a lot of talk in the bass music scene about lack of originality and where the direction of the genre will go. Well hopefully with tracks like Kennedy Jones’ newest Dubstep take on the Calvin Harris tune “My Way” we see a shift in the movement. Starting off with ambient energy and a filtered beat, the vocals come in across a feel good piano melody that reminds us that life is going to be okay. Kennedy let the intro and buildup set a soft tone which as the buildup begins you feel start to sway to the dark side. more »

AutoErotique – Streets (EXSSV Remix) [PREMIERE]

Christian Colon aka EXSSV is the realest bass star coming out of New York. From his debut banger “Starstruck” to today’s premiere remix, the level of hype around EXSSV is not nearly enough. Remixing AutoErotique’s bass house tune “Streets”, which is almost reminiscent of old school fidget house, into the growling dubstep banger we have below gives us a taste of his darker side. With almost trance-like synths and jungle-style vocals, EXSSV grabs your attention almost immediately from the get-go. Wait for it and with the almighty drop he wreaks havoc with monsterous synths and infectious percussion hits. Keeping the more »

Space Race ft Brewski – Blast [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Bass music is constantly evolving through both the progression of style and originality in sound design due to the perserverance of artists like Space Race. Their most recent release featuring the lyrics of Brewski is an assault on your head-holes taking you to an underground party where the beats are fat and the bass is fatter. Blast ft. Brewski is a dubstep tune that sucks you in with ominous vocals and tears you down with a ringing lazer blast drop that has more percussion switch ups than an orchestra doing a white elephant gift exchange. Space Race is becoming a more »

Cartoons and Dubstep. Do I really need to say more? Sacred Sciences recently gave out a free, sweet treat to please headbangers and sample fanatics alike. Entitled “The End”, the track has a dark and brooding vibe with some demented vocal samples from the ominous Lich character in Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time. Fire Lineup Hitting Audio on the Bay Memorial Day Weekend

audio on the bay 2016

Audio on the Bay is bringing out another fire lineup for this year’s run at the Craneway Pavilion. Despite only 2 days of music compared to previous years’ 3 day Memorial Day weekend runs, Insomniac absolutely did not skimp on the quality of artists. This year’s lineup is busting out bass like no other. I haven’t caught a Flux Pavilion set in a long while so I’m praying they throw down a mix of dubstep classics and new material. I’m also stoked to see Ephwurd continue to rise. They took me by surprise at Escape last year, but it didn’t more »

Music Festivals, they all tend to have prominent locations transformed year after year to host thousands of raving fans. Initially that was the fear for many with Camp Bisco, once held in Mariaville NY. 2013 was the last outing by The Disco Biscuits at the Indian Lookout Country Club and die hards of the annual massive were left waiting year after year in hopes that something more »
