Baytek drops feel good future bass anthem ‘Anchor’ ft Cyrus

Baytek

Baytek has become a name to watch in Australian bass music over the last few years. We first heard him way back in 2014 with Taking Over Me, which made quite a lot of traction copping remixes from Wongo, Francis Xavier, Lolo BX, Pantheon & Colour Castle. Since then, Baytek has continued to deliver, dropping remix after remix on his Soundcloud over the last few years, never straying too far from the hard hitting house vibes. The release of his RISE EP late last year garnered a solid amount of support, with the first track, Deadbeat, copping an exclusive premiere from the big guns at NEST HQ. For more »

Avicii Calling It Quits

Avicii is calling it quits on touring after his 2016 tour comes to an end.We are saying goodbye, for now, to a legend who has moved and shaped the scene in insurmountable ways. I remember his performance at Coachella 2012 and how much it inspired me to be involved with the electronic dance music movement. I can’t even fathom how much his music has impacted others throughout the years. His breakout hit ‘Levels’, although thrown into many a joke now, shook the ground of the industry as it thrust EDM onto the commercial scene, giving a spotlight to dance music more »

Tomorrowworld will have to wait til tomorrow

TomorrowWorld will have to wait until…well, tomorrow, or in this case, most likely next year. TomorrowWorld took to their Facebook to announce that they will be canceling this year’s festival. TomorrowWorld is owned by an entertainment company called ID&T, a subsidiary of SFX, a company with a very interesting track record. Their spotty past seems to have caught up with them in light of recent events. After acquiring Beatport a few years back and firing all of the founding engineers to make a horrible version of Beatport Pro on top of the existing architecture, they filed for Chapter 11 on more »
