Deadenders Take You on a Journey with ‘Aether’

Meet Deadenders, a new LA bass duo who sound anything but what their name suggests. This group may only have been visible for a couple months, but their first two releases would make you think they’ve been lurking in the industry for much longer. Pulling in 17k soundcloud streams on these tracks, these “two guys having a good time” have hit the ground running in quite an impressive way. Creative high energy sound design, clean and crisp mixes, and an attention to flow really set Deadenders apart from the early days of most projects. They not only demand your attention, more »

Rezz Releases Her Highly Anticipated Debut Album

Over the past few weeks, Rezz has been building up hype for her album in different ways. We heard much of the album released as singles, as well as the announcement of a tour. News of the album came unexpectedly only a month before its release. It was titled Mass Manipulation and is relatively short for an LP at eight tracks. The first four songs on it followed a one-per-week release pattern during the month of July on each Friday. Now, the hype built has reached its peak and the album is finally here in full. One lingering fear about more »

‘What You Know’ about Troyboi’s new single?

UK trap lord Troyboi has just released a new single titled “What You Know“. An established artist in the bass scene, Troyboi has helped push trap music forward throughout the years with his unique style, but this track feels pretty left-field, even for him! The first thing I noticed about this track was the ridiculously loud saw-wave synths that attacked me with murderous intent, and the lack of an overpowering 808 bassline that we’ve come to love and expect from all things trap. Troyboi is no stranger to wild and aggressive synth stabs, but usually these are relegated to a more »

TroyBoi’s “Hooper” A Slam Dunk From New Album ‘Left Is Right’

Troyboi is the king of all things swag in music. Every beat this man touches brings groove, funk and a little uumphh with it. Gearing up to release his new album ‘Left Is Right’, the british bass and hiphop “Music Manipulation Specialist” has premiered the first single “Hooper”. The game of rhythm in “Hooper” begins with a kick drum reminiscent of a certain Flume track and Healthy Chill spitting bars. The beat is minimal with naught but the rise of white noise building to the drop. Healthy delivers a final lyric and we’re warmly welcomed by TroyBoi’s head-bob inducing beat more »

TSAU006: TBA. & Willco – Threshold

Looking at the social media accounts of TBA. and Willco these two boys seem to have an awful lot in common, both seem to be shitposters at heart with Facebook pages similarly filled with a hefty collection of memes in amongst the music. TBA. (Adam, 24) and Willco (Brandon, 22) both call Perth home and have spent the last few years making big names for themselves in the local club scene, and are definitely starting to have their names recognised across the country and all over the world. Prior to getting into DJing and producing Adam (TBA.) had been involved in more »

Party Favor Brings Signature Sound With “WAWA”

Back with his first original release since dropping the 2016 #2 iTunes Dance charting ‘Party & Destroy’ EP, Party Favor presents new single, “WAWA.” The producer’s familiar mix of festival trap and bass is evident throughout the track’s explosive roars and wobbles, giving you three minutes of non-stop energy. The music video for WAWA is entertaining to say the least; centered around an underground puppy ring, the video pokes fun at illegal fight clubs which accompanies the music appropriately applying a high energy theme and comedic motif. It’s not out til Monday though so you’ll have to wait! Party Favor more »

Lektrique Talks New Music and Life with Trapstyle

Lektrique has been a consistent name in the music scene for a couple of years from his own productions to helping the hard-hitting Kannibalen Records with Black Tiger Sex Machine. His newest track “Shred” is an electro-destroyer that radiates heavy energy. We wanted to share that track with you and sit down to have a few words with Lektrique himself. “Shred” features Lektrique’s heavy, grinding saws and deep orchestral bellows that he robustly applies. The track opens with a funky, fidgety beat where upon a blasting guitar melts our faces off with long drawn out chords. A quick build delivers more »

Released on Virgin EMI Records underneath Universal Music Operations along side his own personal imprint, “Nobody knows” is Sub Focus’ first proper single release since 2013. The track features a energetic mix of hard hitting drums, crooning vocals, and a shower of bleeps and bloops to assault your ears. Jantsen x Dirt Monkey x Notixx – MASSIVE

I don’t know what makes most people get up in the morning (maybe a job or school?), but for me, it’s bass music. Today definitely had a great start as I opened my email to a massive tune out on The Dub Rebellion. So what’s today’s treat? “MASSIVE”, a skanky banger of a tune from the minds of Jantsen, Notixx, and Dirt Monkey. Each of these producers have individually conquered different styles of music and that comes across in “MASSIVE”. The song’s intro reads like an older Doctor P or Flux Pavilion tune with some echoing chants, naughty bells and more »
