Paperwings

Paperwings have returned with a jaw dropping remix of RL Grime‘s “Stay For It”. The brand new duo who have only been writing music together for 10 months is comprised of members Derek and Adam. The two musicians have a in-depth background in piano, guitar, drums, and bass guitar which allows them to create powerful melodic bass tracks that are quickly gaining this duo some major attention. Having launched their project with a remix of Mickey Valen’s “Wildcard”, the duo racked up 50,000 plays in just 11 days. Their latest installment, a remix of “Stay For It”, is a melodic bass banger with perfectly more »

INF1N1TE and Konus Drop Amazing Remix of Pavlo’s “Thief”

Just a few days ago, INF1N1TE and Konus released their remix of Theif and they did an amazing job. Pavlo originally released Thief a little over 7 months ago, and it was nothing like this reimagining. It was sort of hollow sounding, with less variations, and just shy of a club beat that an opener may play. Though the original from Pavlo could have had a lot more with done with it in my opinion, this remix does just that. INF1N1TE and Konus take the song, completely flip it and give it several more layers. The generic aspect of it is completely more »

What So Not Drops Divide And Conquer Remix Pack

You’d be hard-pressed to find a single person in the scene that doesn’t get excited about seeing the name What So Not on a release and Divide & Conquer was no different. Stepping a little into left field from what we’re used to from Chris “Emoh” Emerson (better known of course as What So Not), but this experimental sound was not in vain. The masses jumped on this track, stepping into something different and pushing something new and quite far removed from the days when What So Not was Flume and Emoh. Now I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t more »

Louis Futon’s latest remix masterpiece samples Frank Ocean

If you thought Louis Futon was done fucking the game up after his delicious remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “PRIDE”, then you were wrong by a long shot. Returning to Facebook, Futon asked his fans which song to sample for his next beat challenge before settling on Frank Ocean’s “Solo” off of Ocean’s most recent LP ‘Blonde’. Tackling “Solo” would be quite an arduous task for an unprepared musician. Between the heavily moody feel of the track driven by the detuned organ piano, and Frank’s super loose, almost freeform delivery of the lyrics; any hopeful remixers would have their work cut out more »

Enschway & LUUDE Drop Infectious Remix of RL Grime’s Reims

RL Grime’s latest single ‘Reims’ has only been out three days and there are already remixes starting to pop up. Usually I am hesitant to jump on quick remixes. But Enschway and LUUDE are definitely two of Australia’s best producers, and when together they become an unstoppable duo. The track begins with the ambiance and progressive intro of the original, where it builds a quickly into a wonky, unusual and infectious trap drop. The tune leads you back into the ambiance, and it builds again into a choppy and arguably better version of the original tracks’ drop. This release is more »

Sunday Service Remixes Adventure Club’s “Firestorm”

“Firestorm” was one of the major singles from Adventure Club’s debut album Red // Blue last year, and remains one of the most successful. It hinted at a different direction for them by demonstrating less of their signature melodic dubstep and showing their diversity by incorporating more chill and mellow trap sounds. Sunday Service remixed it in a way that takes the original to all new territory. The Sunday Service remix offers a louder, more powerful future bass drop that feels more suitable for a song titled “Firestorm.” The lyrics, which were arguably the strongest part of the original song, flow well more »

Less than a month after the monstrous release of Kendrick Lamar’s album ‘DAMN’, quite a few remixes have surfaced, including Mr. Carmack’s soundcloud takedown-worthy flip of DNA. Now, a new challenger has entered the ring in the form of Louis Futon. Awoltalk Delivers Golden Remix of “Gold” by Max Styler

Like many great Future Bass songs, Gold by Max Styler blurs the line between Future and Trap. With help from producer Devault, the reminiscence of the 808 bass and drum patterns add a hardness to the euphoric theme provided by vocals from Luciana. It gives a powerful Future Bass experience while also whetting one’s appetite for Trap. As if to answer this call, Awoltalk delivers the full heavy Trap rendition of this work with his new remix. This track makes it known from the start that this is a change of tone from the original. You are well prepared when the more »
