Milian Puts His Own Twist on Skrillex and Habtrakt’s “Chicken Soup”

MILIAN

Los Angeles native and producer MILIAN has an immense passion for all things music; as he is not only a producer, but a songwriter as well.  He graduated from Icon Collective and made his debut performance at EDC Orlando after winning The Discovery Project. This budding producer has a variety of different tracks, not just sticking to one genre when it comes to his production.  It’s always really awesome when artists can change it up and keep fans guessing what is next for their music.  His latest track, is a Dubstep banger. MILIAN has taken his own twist on more »

Feeling Nostalgic with Said The Sky [Interview]

Said The Sky

Two weeks ago I sat down with Trevor Christensen aka Said The Sky at 515 Alive Music Festival. I have been a huge fan of his ever since I discovered Illenium. They released a track “Drop Our Hearts Ft. SIRMA” in 2014 and it changed my perception about melodic dubstep. We had many chillstep and some future bass artists before these two released this song, however I think Trevor and Nick have paved a way for a new breed of melodic dubstep and future bass artists. After they released that song, Said The Sky came out with his first EP Faith. more »

Over the years Skrillex has been one of the dominating and defining members of the Electronic music scene. ‘Chicken Soup’ is definitely no different from any of the quality songs he’s put out. Of course we cannot forget the work from Habstrakt on this collaboration, their styles both complement each other perfectly on this. The song starts with an intense variation of vocal chops and percussion. With a great rhythm supporting the overall tune, the build up leads to a wild display of their styles meshing. The most refreshing drop i’ve heard in bass house for this year, the sound more »

Revive Los Clásicos Vol.2: The M Machine – Promise Me A Rose Garden

Skrillex & Friends, Pier of Fear, NYC Recap

To say that Skrillex & Friends, Pier of Fear lived up to its expectations is an understatement. RPM Presents knows how to curate and throw an event. This was my first time at Pier 94 and even though attendance was at an extremely high volume there was more than enough room on the dance floor. Each artist brought something new to the table, the staff and security was courteous and I’ve never received a drink more quickly before. One of the extra add ons to the night was that Fight Clvb got added last minute to open up bringing us more »
