HEKLER Drops Massive Trap Banger ‘MEGALINK’

When it comes to HEKLER, the only thing you can know for sure that you’re gonna get is top level sound design, and all the bass you could ever ask for. We’ve reported on HEKLER twice before, both on his collaborative EP with WHIPPED CREAM and on his single with Lemay. Both were Trap and Bass inspired, and both had next level sound design. But the sound of each work is entirely different. And that is true of all of HEKLER’s works, where the most common theme is ironically how unique each track is in its own right. HEKLER continues this more »

Excision, Keys N Krates Threw Fire at Audio On The Bay ’16

audio on the bay

Seriously, Excision threw so much fire the fire alarm actually went off during his set. Memorial Day Weekend went off with a bang at Audio on the Bay. This year, the stage production was bigger, the bass was louder and the vibes were better than ever before. This years lineup hosted every type of bass music you could have wanted and much, much more. While still remaining one of Insomniac’s smaller festivals, it lives up to the hype of any other massive. I have to say, the stand out stars of the show for me were Keys N Krates. There’s something about combining live more »

Slander Delivers Filth With Their New Track [Free Download]

The quiet before the storm has never been more perfectly exemplified than in Slander’s new remix. The duo remixed Kill The Noise’s ‘Kill It 4 The Kids’ and nailed it. The intro to the song is a very calming piano riff accompanied by beautifully orchestrated strings. As the strings and piano subside, vocal chops and a gritty sounding synth cut through the calm. Then the storm hits. The unparalleled energy of the first drop will definitely make you put your stank face on. The energy progresses throughout the track, giving this remix the signature dirty Slander sound. Check out the more »

Fire Lineup Hitting Audio on the Bay Memorial Day Weekend

audio on the bay 2016

Audio on the Bay is bringing out another fire lineup for this year’s run at the Craneway Pavilion. Despite only 2 days of music compared to previous years’ 3 day Memorial Day weekend runs, Insomniac absolutely did not skimp on the quality of artists. This year’s lineup is busting out bass like no other. I haven’t caught a Flux Pavilion set in a long while so I’m praying they throw down a mix of dubstep classics and new material. I’m also stoked to see Ephwurd continue to rise. They took me by surprise at Escape last year, but it didn’t more »

Ninja Funk released a heater that is sure to get your hips a movin’. Ninja Funk has already gained support from Slander and b-sides. These guys are definitely going places. Take a listen below: The calm intro with 8 bit, arpeggiated synths give a nostalgic feel which lead nicely into a turbulent build to quite the drop. Ninja Funk incorporated a very unique resampled bell sound to create a high energy drop. It’s definitely unlike anything I’ve heard before. The contrast between the breakdown and drop perfectly compliment each other to give that drop a more in your face punch. more »
