Two years ago the LA-based Shifty Rhythms crew took a step that now seems all too familiar in the contemporary music collective structure when they laid the foundation for a network of producers offering their own spin on the SoundCloud era. Eleven releases and a few million plays later, the Red Pandas have established themselves as a label / collective that bridges the gap between subculture ingenuity and pop-infused familiarity.
Enter Shifty Rhythms Volume Three, an eleven track expansion pack for this ideology that takes Shifty into much darker, less-defined territory while still maintaining many of the bright, futuristic elements their artists are known for. The expansion pack is available for download via Shifty’s Soundcloud on Monday, July 13th. Trapstyle Bass Collective was able to grab one of the tunes a little bit early for you guys. This tune is a murky bass-heavy beauty by Hawaiian producer AYA.
