C&T (aka Che Johnson & Tyler Morris), hailing from New York, NY, have taken a stab at remixing Destructo’s newest single “Techno”. The original track, at 112 BPM, offers a heavy hitting, driving bass with the repeated phrase “nobody listen to techno”. This is very much in a style similar to the origins of techno, making use of simply a bass and some vocals, and creating an infectious groove with those elements. Destructo is definitely making reference to the origins of house music and how much it has changed in recent years by incorporating the repeated phrase, “nobody listens to techno”.
C&T are able to transform the original heavy hitting track into a ravey bass house banger, making the groove even more infectious. With an added screechy synth, a transformed bass line, and faster BPM, C&T effectively give the track a new ravey vibe. Definitely be on the look out for these two guys in future!
Here’s what C&T had to say about the track:
“Destructo murdered this track at 112. We decided to speed it up a bit and add our own flavor to the track. Hope everyone can get loose to this one.”
