There is a new kid on the block and he’s here to make a ruckus. The Dutch producer, Jurab, is already making a lot of noise in the scene with his first release “Gangsta.” Jurab is yet another impressive, young artists, who definitely shows a lot of talent with this first release, leaving me to ponder what I was doing when I was 15. Take a listen to his track below:
Jurab has brought a lot of the past into this new first release of his. Using MC Moga as a way of channeling Tupac, the haunting repeated vocals “Theres gonna some stuff you gonna see that’s gonna make it hard to smile in the future,” artfully bring some old school feeling to a new school track. The grimey wobble bass style used by Jurab also indicate his roots in some old school house vibes. The track was released on Rebel Yard, definitely a label who knows how to pick their talent. Jurab is a very valuable addition to the Rebel Yard squad, a squad that seems to have genre bending artists on lock. Watch out for this kid in the future and definitely don’t sleep on Rebel Yard.
