There is some killer music coming out of Chicago these days, and this is no exception. 20 year old producer Wyldefire is back with some original heat. The pumping pianos and emotive vocals conjure images of early Eric Prydz, and quickly give way to the gritty bassline and expertly crafted percussion that made this track catch my ear.
One of my favorite things about this track is that it isn’t overcluttered with a thousand elements that don’t really add anything to the final product (like the breadsticks in Chex Mix. Seriously, does anyone like those?). By keeping the instrumentation simple, Wyldefire uses the extra space to create tension, making the release the musical equivalent of getting a handful of rye chips.
