Louis Futon flips Kendrick Lamar’s ‘PRIDE’ into a mood-setting monster.

Less than a month after the monstrous release of Kendrick Lamar’s album ‘DAMN’, quite a few remixes have surfaced, including Mr. Carmack’s soundcloud takedown-worthy flip of DNA. Now, a new challenger has entered the ring in the form of Louis Futon. Futon is well known in the bass community for crafting sounds that are somehow, simultaneously hard and smooth, always leaving listeners in the mood and craving more. His most recent effort, shared to his Facebook, documents the journey of turning the intro of Kendrick’s PRIDE into a funky, lo-fi bedroom banger.

He samples the vocal intro from Lamar as well as a guitar riff from Grant Green’s ‘My One And Only Love’, adding his signature blend of vibes to the mix, which culminates in a silky smooth blend that soothes the soul.
